Hosting is free

Your storefront, order pipeline, customer messaging, and file delivery all run on Cypher at no cost. You don't pay to be listed and you don't pay to keep the service online.

5% transaction fee

Cypher invoices providers for 5% of the gross amount of orders marked completed on the platform during each billing period. Quotes, inquiries, and discovery are free — you only owe the fee on orders that actually ship.

How to get listed

1

Create a Cypher account

Sign up at cypherbio.ai. The free tier is enough to set up a provider profile.

2

Create your team (you become its admin)

Providers and services are owned by a team. Create a team from the team switcher (top-left) — you'll be its admin, which is required to set up a provider and publish services. If you were invited to someone else's team as a member, create your own team to manage your services.

3

Schedule a 15-min onboarding call

Book your free 15-minute onboarding call via the scheduling page. We verify your service and walk you through provider mode, storefront setup, and best practices — this step is required before your storefront goes live.

4

Set up your storefront

Upload a logo, write your service descriptions, and define the intake form fields your customers should fill out (sample type, volume, turnaround preference — whatever applies).

5

Go live and take orders

Your services appear in the Cypher marketplace and become orderable. Manage quotes, status updates, deliverables, and customer messaging from the provider dashboard.

6

Get paid, then get invoiced

You collect payment from your customer however you normally do (PO, ACH, your own Stripe account, off-platform invoice — your call). At the end of each billing period, Cypher invoices you for 5% of the gross amount of orders marked completed on the platform during that period.

What you get

A real storefront

Your own page inside Cypher with service listings, pricing display, and a quote/order workflow customers already understand.

Customer messaging

In-platform inquiries and order threads so you don't lose context bouncing between email and your CRM.

Order pipeline

Track every order through draft → quote → submitted → in-progress → completed, with status notifications to customers built in.

Customers where they live

Cypher users are already designing experiments, running protocols, and storing samples here. They can hand off to your service without leaving their notebook.

Quick answers

How does Cypher collect the 5%? By invoice. Cypher doesn't sit between you and your customer's payment — you collect from your customer the way you already do, then Cypher invoices you for 5% of the gross amount of orders marked completed during the billing period.

What counts as a "completed order"? An order that's moved to the completed status on the platform (deliverables shipped, customer accepted). Drafts, cancelled orders, and quotes that never converted are not billable.

Are there caps or minimums? No. The 5% applies to each completed order, regardless of size.

Can I run multiple services under one provider? Yes. Providers can publish as many services as they want; the 5% applies per completed order, not per service.
